On the Titleist Shaft chart, it lists the Diamana White as having lower spin characteristics than the Fubuki, but at Mitsubishi's website they show the Fubuki being lower spinning. What is the difference?
Thanks

Hi Thomas -
I was unable to find anything on Mitsubishi's website that indicates the Fubuki to be a lower spinning shaft. The Fubuki shaft on the Titleist site is the Fubuki Tour and has a higher torque than the White Board. The White Board's lower torque and higher kick point generally relates to a lower launch and lower spinrate.
Here are the specs for the Fubuki Tour:

Here is the chart I was talking about
Thank you for posting. I spoke to a representative from Mitsubishi and he mentioned this chart is sent out as a reference guide for fitting purposes and the plotted sections should not be read definitively but used to quickly find other shaft options for a specific player. He also mentioned that part of the reason the Fubuki 73 is so far to the left is because of the limited space to chart shafts. The White Board is has a much stiffer tip section than the Fubuki and will generally produce a lower spin/launch than the Fubuki (especially for players with a higher swing speed who load the shaft more) . However, because the Fubuki and Diamana spin rates are close but the tip stiffness are different a slower/smoother swing type will typically see less spin with the Fubuki.
Sounds good.
Would it be safe to assume that the DVS shaft in the fitting cart would play similar to the Fubuki? I'm asking because I've had good results with the fubuki in other clubs and have been hitting the DVS D2 fitting driver well. Since the specs for these two shafts seem very close, can I expect the same results with the Fubuki in the D2?
The Fubuki should produce a lower spin rate than the DVS but the launch angle of the DVS and the Fubuki should be similar. If you have hit both shafts and have had good results I would guess that you should be OK to put the Fubuki in the D2 and see similar results. Have you been able to visit a local Titleist Fitting Center with a SureFit cart? If so, please tell me which location and I will see if there is anyway for this account to arrange a driver fitting for you with the Fubuki shaft.
