As I arrived at the tee box at the third hole at Bethpage State Park Golf Course (green), I walked to my bag and chose my 7 wood. It was the third hole and my iPhone golf app said 120 yds to the elevated green. At the same time, I took my brand new Titlest Pro V1 out of my pocket. I teed up the ball, stepped back and took a practice swing. I took a deep breath and approached the ball. I took one last look at the pin, turned my gaze toward the ball, and swung away. I watched the ball during my follow through as it soared toward the green. I thought I might be short as the ball hit the front lip and bounced forward onto the green. I watched it roll toward the pin and then out of my sight line. I assumed it rolled off, but my partner said it might have gone in. Thinking she was crazy, I walked with my wedge toward the back of the green only to be startled by her screams as she checked the cup. Several things became reality at once. I didn't need my wedge, I didn't need my putter, and I hit my first hole in one!
