It was men's day at the Glades on the Palmetto, an 18-hole par 55. Our group started on the 14th hole, the only par-4 on this course. Being 81 years young now, and it being the first swing of the day, I wasn't expecting much. Of the 3-some I was first up. I teed up my Titleist ProV and took a couple of practice swings to loosen up the old body before hitting my tee shot. Unbelievable! It was down the middle of the fairway and straight as an arrow. What? It's in the hole!! A double eagle on the first hole of the day.
