Hole In One wins Hawk

During this particular round our group is playing a 5 some and decided to play a game we call "Hawk". Some people call it "Wolf" but the rules are very similiar. We came up to the 4th hole, a par 3 over water with a front pin location. The "Hawk" on a par three gets to see your tee shot but must choose if he is taking your shot before the next player hits. If he passes it he doesn't get the option to go back. Jay is the Hawk on this hole and hits his ball short of the green barely onto the front of the fringe over the water. The second player, Michael, hits and sticks the pin about 5 feet to the right. Jay now picks Michael as his partner and the two are jawing with us about how hard it would be to get inside his shot and almost assuring Jay a win on the hole. I am hitting next. I have 143 yards into the wind and I pull my 9 iron thinking it is better long than short because of the water. I hit the sweetest little draw into that wind and my ball hits about 8 inches behind the hole and sucks back into it for an Ace! The group goes crazy and cheers are heard all on that side of the course! I must say though, The Ace was very exciting but taking the win on the hole from Jay and Michael was an extra plus for me and my partners!!
