I was playing with 3 good buddies who are all decent golfers, but none have never had a hole in one. I had one with two of them watching 17 years ago. So it wasn't my turn.

Anyway, we came to #13 hale, a short par 3 (130 yds) playing into the wind with the pin sitting behind a mound in front obscuring the view. I had to go first and hit a little knock down 8 iron with a slight draw. It hit the mound and disappeared. We thought it would be on green but didn't think it was that great a shot. They all missed the green with one was just short and the other 2 long. We found their balls, but mine was no where in sight. Finally someone looked in the hole and lo and behold there was a Titlest 2. I had hit one off the tee, but it wasn't marked. However it had a skuff on it from a tree I had hit earlier, and this one had a skuff on it. In all the excitement, I kind forgot about the ball and almost hit it in the water on the next hole. When I realized the significance of that ball, it went in my pocket, skuff and all. It's now sitting in a prominent spot in my mancave...skuff and all!

We were playing a fun little country course in NW Ohio..nothing pretentious (White Pines). I was able to buy everyone a drink and get out of there for just over 20 bucks.... Pretty cool huh!
