It was a beautiful day as usual in Oro Valley, AZ. Our Friday men's group (about 24 golfers ) gathered for our weekly competition--playing a stapleford scoring system.

On the second hole which is slightly down to the green I selected an 8 iron for the 135 yard shot. My partner suggested I think of silk---smooth and to focus on watching impact. I concentrated and succeeded with the ball flying effortlessly off the clubhead. It landed just short of the green and headed for the flag. We watched as it disappeared from sight. A maintenance man was watching and he clapped and jumped up in his cart.

What makes this hole in one unique is that the ball was a Titleist 1 with a logo on it which was ACE and happened on 11/11/11. My score of 1 just added to the ones.
