As I set up for hole number 7 at Deere Run I was contemplating which club I should use. Hole number 7 is 160 yards but was playing 147 yards because of pin location. I usually hit a 9I 150-160. I usually hit my PW 130-140 I chose to go with my pitching wedge. I naturally play a fade shot and this hole was no different. I faded the ball and ball flight looked good. Everyone in the foursome all said it was looking good. The green of this hole is down in a little valley and there is a hill to the right of this hole. My ball hit the top of the hill and rolled onto the green. The ball disappeared and the other guys went crazy. They said you hit a hole in one!! They knew it for sure. I saw my ball disappear but was not convinced it went in the hole. Usually when my ball disappears it's either in the rough, sand, or water. After the rest of the guys hit I asked them if I could go and inspect. Of course, they did not mind. I approached the green and first looked in the rough, then looked in the trap, and finally looked in the hole. My ball was indeed in the hole and I was in shock. I teared up a bit and immediately called my father and my grandfather. I truly believe using a Titleist Velocity helped me gain the distance I needed to ace this hole with the club I was using. I am definitely a fan. Thank you for such a great product!
