I have played with Titleist clubs for over 30 year and am bassic a walking Titleist billboard. About 2 months ago it was time again to upgrade my culbs. After careful review of the new clubs that are on the market i picked the AP2 710 Iron. So on Sunday me and my wife went to the local golf shop in our area and looked at pricing and what was in stock. After talking with the sales guy in the store i aranged at time to come back the following weekend. I travel on my job so during that week when i was out of town my wife did something she never done before. She got on Craig's list and started looking around at differenet things. While she was she ran across a guy selling AP2 iron like it the story for about $600. Which in her mind was a $300 saving. So when i got home there they were my new AP2 irons with a nice card. After playing with the new clubs for about 30 days i noticed that several of the heads were loose. I thought strange but no problem i will just drive to the golf store and get them check out. Now you can just imagine the look on my face when the club fitter told me they we fake knock offs. Since i have went back to playing my old clubs so my wife want find out that we got took on a scam. And the guy who sold us the clubs is in the wind. So long story short things are not always what they seem.
thanks for listening
PS> i put this same story on Craigs list and strangely enough all the AP2 add for $600 came off the posting.
