I was playing for my club handicap team, St. Anne’s Old Links GC in a match against Royal Lytham. The Ricoh British Women’s Open was just played at Royal Lytham the week previous so I was very much looking to playing the course while it was in such great condition. I lasered the pin at 201 yards off the Reds (equivalent to white at other courses), I played 4 iron. The ball never left the pin. It pitched on to the green seemed to roll for about 15-20 feet and dropped into the hole. The group on the 2nd tee which is right next to the 1st green came running out from behind the trees to shout and indicate it had dropped in. Great feeling to get my first hole in one at such a great Championship course.
