My only ace was on the 18th hole at Lingdale , but we had to start on the 10th as it was a winter pairs knockout competition , hit a nice 7 iron that pitch and rolled into the hole. saw it all the way , car keys out of bag picked ball up and it went straight into the car as we all walked to the 1st tee. My mother had an ace in the mid 1970's and carried on playing with her ball and then lost it , We won the match and then celebrated in the clubhouse.
