Playing with 2 old friends and got to the fifth hole after not exactly striking the ball well. 135 yds, elevated tee, flag front centre. My first mate hit a cracking shot which just rolled past the hole to around 3 yds, narrowly missing a hole in one himself. Second mate, hit a good shot, pin high but a few yds right. I took my usual pitching wedge, stating that They had set the standard. I hit a high shot that looked on line, the ball hit about 3’ in front of the flag then just rolled in, with us all watching!!! We couldn’t quite believe it. After over 40 years of playing, my first ever hole in one!! Huge smile the rest of the round
