I am very new to golf having just joined Northop golf course. I was playing a normal 7am round with my mate Rod who is a regular golfer playing off 16. I hit a clean 8 iron off the 14th tee and it landed on the green and you new it was close to the hole. I remember saying “I will take that” and Rod replied “take it!? It might be in the hole!” As we got closer to the green you couldn’t see my ball on the green and that’s when I realised I had done it ️ I was chuffed,but being so new to golf didn’t realise how much of an achievement it was. It wasn’t until a few day’s later I realised how rare these things are and how lucky I was! Now the ball sits in a glass case on my mantle piece in a glass box pride of place. I hope to get a handicap very soon and play at every possibility
