Hole In One

Hole In One

Today was the day. Lockdown continues but the golf moves on. It was great to be back on the course again and after a rusty few rounds the touch was finally coming back. After some solid first few holes, I stood on the 7th tee, coming off a hole where I had just lost out to a birdie and the match had been taken back to all square. I measured the shot out and selected my trusty 7 iron. This club I might add, has rarely hit its 160 carry for a while. It has more often pulled left in recent weeks. Anyway this shot couldn’t have been better. It came straight off the club face as I had intended and flew towards the flag. The ball bounced on the firm green and only rolled a short way before falling into the cup, much to my delight!! A few screams of joy followed. I had to be held back whilst the players on the tee alongside set up their tee shots, but oh well ... It’s my first Hole in One!!
