There we were on the 16th Tee lying dormy 3 down in the Derrick Burridge Greensomes competition run in Cambridgeshire. Our opponents had tee'd off one into the tress on the right and the other to the left of the green on the mound. The hole is around 172 yards with four bunkers protecting the front of the green, i tee'd the Titleist NXT Tour S and selected a 5 iron, i normally hit a draw so i aimed between the second and third bunkers, the ball set off bang on target, drew between the bunkers landed on the fringe of the green, rolled more or less straight away and went straight into the hole. Jez the younger of our opponents had never seen a hole in one before so high fives followed the shot. Colin my partner immediately said "I don't think i'll tee off". Obviously drinks in the bar followed, along with hearty congratulations from the Captain and all members of the two teams.
