I had just come off the par 5 12th at Longhirst Hall Golf Club on the Dawson course with a bogey 6, I was quite frustrated. I was playing with a friend of mine in the Junior masters at Longhirst and we were walking to the tee box when I said to him "if I get a whole in one here you gotta give me your new Scotty Cameron" and my buddy (Marcus) shook my hand and said "deal" so somehow it was still my honour even with a bogey and I pulled 8 iron the yardage was 152 yards into wind and I hit this low baby fade and it looked great in the air I didn't think it would go in though then it took one hop and slammed in the hole! I remember the noise so well! But what made it sweeter was the deal I made with Marcus and I looked at him he just hung his head he was absolutely gutted so we walked up to the green after Marcus had hit his shot and I was on the phone to my Dad in such excitement then I hung up and picked my Titleist ProV1 out of the whole! To this day I'm still waiting for Marcus to give me that Scotty Cameron though!
