Standing on the tee of the 135yard par 3, 7th hole at Southern Valley GC on a warm, sunny morning with a moderate breeze coming in from the right. I chose my 9iron (Cleveland GC16) and Titleist DT soft ball. I hit the ball cleanly off a short tee and, coming in from height, it cleared the bunker which stretches tightly across the front of the green. It landed on the fringe, bounced forward and ran the 8yards up the centre of the green and died into the hole. Some moderate celebration then took place with my playing partners. Happy days!!
