Monday brought us to Loch Lomond for the Durham Cricket Club annual sponsors golf day, my first time to Loch Lomond brought with it a first class experience of the best course I’ve ever played or seen. After playing poorly to begin I reached the par 3 8th, 140 yards playing 125 but into a slight breeze. Using a caddie for the first time in my life, Ryan gave me a 8 iron, reaching the tee box the wind seemed to die a little and he switched clubs back to our original thought - 9 iron, I connected sweet and eyed the hole up and down, the ball landed on top of the ridge and rolled towards the pin, I then saw it drop... a surreal feeling after witnessing my first ever hole in one, however the caddies didn’t say anything other than there’s a ridge and it might have gone in but I wouldn’t be so sure, after pacing towards the green I realised there was no ball and saw it in the cup. A brilliant occasion, golf course, company and moment that I will remember for the rest of my life... and of course it had to be done with a titleist pro v1! Thanks guys!!
