14 members of the HYCGA (How's Your Chimp Golf Association) took to Chartham Park Golf Course to compete in the "Playerz" tournament on Sunday 7th July 2019. Stepping onto the third hole, a 138 yard par 3, Mark Kingston initially picked up his 9 iron with the intention of taking the water and green protecting bunker out of the equation. With the wind behind him, a late change of mind saw him switch out for a pitching wedge, and what a decision it turned out to be. He hit it pure, with the slightest of fades, pitching it onto the front edge of the green. The ball, in a surreal slow motion like movement akin to a wild beast stalking it's prey, began to make its way towards the tough front left pin position. The ball disappeared. There was a split second of disbelief as Mark, Roddy and Allan looked at each other, shell-shocked… then the celebrations began.
