It was the last match of the Lawrence Batley Seniors' League. An 8 man team played as 4BBB matchplay. Halifax Bradley Hall (my team) were playing away at Queensbury. I was playing with our team captain, Paul Hesselden, and we were first out. We were giving 7 shots and 9 shots to our opponents. We had just gone 2 up with 3 to play. Our opponents both had shots on the 17th and 18th holes. A downhill par 3 of 122 yards into a slight wind. A steady 7 iron was the club of choice. It pitched 2ft from the pin and straight in the hole to clinch the match for Bradley Hall. What a winner.
