After 30 years of golfing & never having a hole in one you get to thinking it’s not going to happen. In April 2016 all that changed.At Windermere Golf Club on the 14th hole the 1st medal of the year,143 yards of the whites.Easy 8iron or a good 9 iron swinging ok so go with the 9 iron,Lands 3ft from the pin & rolls in,That’s it I’ve got one & if I never get another at least I have this one. A week later on the same hole in the 2nd qualifying comp of the year another good 9 iron,It took off & as soon as I saw it in the air it was like an action replay of the week before & the same outcome another hole in one 2 in 2 weeks.The 3rd week I knocked it to 4ft & thought that’s it I’ve run out. So 5 weeks after my 1st hole in one we have a scratch match against Kendal,14th hole 9 iron lands just right of the pin & spins slightly into the hole. The 3rd hole in one in 5 weeks. Cost me a few bob over them 5 weeks but we’ll worth it.
