Perfect end to an Amazing week
By CLuther On 4 October 2018
Playing the Maxxroyal Montgomerie course in Turkey, level or through 13 holes and missed opportunities were everywhere.
14th hole, 140 yards with wind into face, finally deciding on a punched 3/4 9 iron through the wind. As always the trusted Pro v1 delivered, perfect ball flight pin seeking the whole way....with bright sun into face it landed and we heard the pin noise as it hit, but couldn’t see the green surface. Confusion set in, was it in? Had it flicked off the flag across the green? Out came the range finders, ball was now where to be seen.
After the longest buggy ride (or so it felt) we got to the green, pitch marked 1 inch behind the hole, and there in the bottom of the cup was my ball, my first ever hole in one. Pure shock set in...followed by excitement and hysteria.
The picture shows just how shocked I was...
I finished my round, bogey, birdie, birdie, birdie - a perfect end to a perfect week and round in Turkey!
