First ever ace at the par 3 11th at Alnmouth Foxton Hall Golf Club in the prestigious Archibald Lamp Competition. Playing with my mates, it was a fantastic feeling, and a moment that I will cherish forever. However, Mother Nature was to intervene, and burst my bubble ! As I celebrated in the Clubhouse as current leader, with fellow members, the heavens opened and I watched with dismay whilst the 18th green flooded and the competition was cancelled, much to my dismay ! Strangely, the following week, at the same hole, my tee shot struck the pin and came to rest only two inches from the cup !
