First time playing number 1 for Walsall golf club scratch team and first time hitting an ace! The 7th hole is 190 yards off the back tees but with a front flag it was playing around 178 on my bushnell, slightly into wind i decided 6 iron was the right club. I hit the purest of 6 irons and the ball never left the flag stick in the air- my words exactly “be the club”, it took one bounce and looked like it disappeared, my opponent said ‘it’s in the hole’. I looked down my bushnell and could see my ball very close to the flag so I wasn’t 100% sure if it was in. As we walked closer to the hole I could barely contain my excitement and left my trolley heading towards the green and I ran up the hole to see if the ball was in or not, as I got to the edge of the green I could clearly see the ball was half in the hole! Booom!!! I was jumping round for joy! This took me to 2up in my match and my heart was racing! Sadly the hole in one did not help my cause and after I couldn’t buy a par to save my life and ended up losing my match 3&2 but it’s a loss I will never forget.
