I was playing in an pairs invitational event at my club Ufford Park in September 2015. At the 16th, a par 3 playing 151 yards, I hit my 7 iron straight at the flag. There was no wind and my partner said ‘you are all over it!’ The ball flew straight and then disappeared. The flag waved from side to side and I said ‘where has it gone?’ My partner said ‘it went straight in!’ I was speechless. On reaching the hole we found the ball in the hole with the pitch mark right on the edge. We took this picture. It was a slam dunk. I managed to repair the hole edge before we left the green. We then went on to win the event with 44 points and I won the nearest the pin prize for that hole too!! An amazing day.
