It was quite a cold day, Tuesday 30th January, and we had received some sad news of the unexpected death of a friend and fellow golfer from Cardiff - only 63! I didn’t feel much like playing golf but it was a 4BBB Competition and I was playing with friends who are good company. I wasn’t playing too badly except around the greens and the putting wasn’t good. I was first to tee off on the 13th and a butterfly flew in front of me and landed on the heather, I smiled and hit my tee shot hoping to get close enough for a two on this last par 3. Imagine my amazement as the four of us watched the ball land on the green, bounce a couple of times and drop into the hole! Life is certainly full of ups and downs!
