What a great game

Me and some friends played in an open competition at Dukinfield Golf Club, nr Manchester on Sunday 08/07/18. A glorious day of weather greeted us on the morning and we arrived looking forward to playing another new course.
We got to the Par 3 second hole, a lovely looking hole title Punch Bowl, 156 yards uphill and slightly into the breeze, I clubbed up and hit a 9 iron. I hit the shot really sweetly and it soared in the air on a great line, which looked to be close, one of my playing partners said "that's gone in!!!" The rest of the group played, with one other hitting the green. Reality hit when after the climb uphill to the green there was only 1 ball on the green. As we all looked in the cup together, that special moment and feeling in golf happened when I saw my Pro V1 in the hole. I can not explain the euphoria I felt it was amazing.
I used one of the Pro V1 balls I have personalised every year through the Titleist promotion. A number 96, in memory of the Hillsborough disaster which I survived in 1989 along with one of my playing partners on the day, him being with me made the memories and experience even more special, poignant and emotional.
