    It's the stock Nippon shaft. Thanks for the info. I just wanted to avoid getting a 580 grip and then expanding the outside diameter more than would be comfortable by putting it on a 600 core shaft. Now I know what to look for.

    They will be $145 MSRP (steel shafts).  They are scheduled to release the same time as the 712 irons, November 18th.

    The serial number 1715568 is on our list of known compromised serial numbers which means that many "fake" copies of this number were made.  I will forward your email onto our Acushnet Company office in Japan.
