Hi fellow TTers,
my game has been in a bit of a rut the past few months. Overall, I felt as though my game was in reasonable shape but the movement in my GA handicap index suggested shape. This led me to start doubting my equipment, most notably my choice in golf ball.
I’ve used ProV1 since it first came on the market, that was until recent years when I made the switch to the ProV1x in search of a few extra metres. However, the last reincarnation of the ProV1x felt too spinny for me and I lost confidence in it so I went back to the PtoV1 and had to get used to taking a bit more club than I wanted.
Buddies suggested trying other manufacturers but I stayed true to Titleist, toying with the previous AVX and more recently the new TruFeel. Both performed well for a period of time but deep down I didn’t feel quite comfortable with either.
To cut a long story short that was until the release of the new AVX.
As the ad for it states, all my numbers have improved, most importantly my scoring. The past two rounds I’ve used the exact same ball, most recently in a ProAm, where I beat half of the field of pros, playing from the same tees. I may not be ProV1ng it anymore but Titleist still has the number 1 ball in golf.
Wish you luck on the course,
Mark
