Pro v1 vs. Pro V1x new vs. old

    I have been very curious about some of the major differences between the new Pro V 1x and Pro V1 and the old versions of them. With the prices of both of them being quite high. I was wondering if it is worth it to spend the extra few dollars on the new ones or go a little cheaper and stick with the older ones. I have hit both, and they both feel incredible at short and long game, it's just if I looked at track man and saw the numbers, would it be worth it? I absolutely love both of them. They are simply the best golf balls in golf.

    There are some Christmas specials available that are close in price to the prior generation prices I've seen, and Titleist in the past has had a loyalty 4 for 3 program that is also in the same price range. Unless you really prefer a prior generation for whatever reason, take advantage of the current generation when a deal is available.

    I highly recommend taking advantage of the Christmas specials right now, especially as it's become very hard to find the prior generation of the Pro V1 or Pro V1x.  For me, the extra money is still worth it.  Why skimp on the one thing you use every shot and can rely on?  Also, the more durable cover makes up for the cost difference in that you're not swapping out balls as much.  

    Although, when it finds the bottom of a lake, more durable cover is hardly a consolation.

    The balls have a longer shelf life that one would think according to research I found.  If there is a good deal with the new generation get those, but when it comes down to it, if you can save some money and still get Titleist Prov1x, I would go older.

    to me playing a ball from 2014 or 2013n doesn't make much of a difference.

    When I try some special things on a round, I use the old balls in my bag, so it is less frustrating if you lose one

    I often find myself playing a year or two old version of a ball. I always test it up against the new one, but if I see no price difference justifying attribute, I'm fine with the older one.
