    Hey guys. Question about balls

I am located in Nova Scotia and play 100-150 rounds a year. I work at a golf course and unfortunately it is TM licensed. LOL.

I am a 8 index at the current moment and not what I consider a "long hitter". In the prime months I hit Pro v1 non stop however with temps between 12-16* and wind (colder) I find myself seeking a softer ball. I had someone give me a Tour Soft and boy oh boy in the cold it works well.

I am unsure the generation of the sleeve (He gave me a single ball which lasted 26 holes and performed quite nicely) and was wondering if anyone plays this ball win the cold as I really liked the soft feel in current conditions It is a very consistent ball. And I scored very well with it in the conditions. I was very happy on ballfight. Does anyone else play these and is there a significant change from 22 model to the 24 model.

Golf course closes 3 Nov and want to get another 25 9 & 18 hole rounds in. Some courses here close Nov 11 so this is attainable however in the fall and April months it can be cold and wet and a softer ball would really help me more I feel

Thanks a lot guys. Curious as to the feedback from the crew

Maybe I should give that ball a try. I play prov1 yellow in the spring and fall as its easier to see with the leaves but somehow I still lose the odd 2 per round in the fairway. Kind of adds up through multiple rounds.

I agree with you Daniel - The Tour Soft does feel good in the colder wether. I found one and played it last week and it truly feels significantly softer than my ProV's I used to play ProV1x in the heat of the summer and ProV1's in the cooler weather, but I no longer feel that much difference between them over the last few years. That is either due to a change in their construction or a change in my swing :)

I am with you Darius. Love the V1's in the heat however when it gets cold you need a softer ball. Myself I hit a good drive 230-240. Cold reduces it and I use a flight scope to warm up and today for instance 2 clubs shorter due to temps. That's Nova Scotia for you.... I did manage to find out the Tour Soft I played was the 22 gen and apparently a 67 compression. I bought two dozen but mistakingly bought a 24 gen box as well and apparently they are a little harder due to the Tour Speed being discontinued. Makes sense. The 24 gen is around 75-78. (slightly harder).

Played Friday, sat, and Sunday and got to say the 22 Tour Soft is pretty nice and feels great on chips and putts plus it flies very true

Hope your golfs great man. we close Nov 3. going to stink.... planning on guy work this winter and more training at Modern Golf. Had a great season.

    Take care

Prov1X for colder weather. Its softer somehow, and the higher flight helps carry distance with irons. If taking that 1 club more in colder weather and swinging normal it will feel great.
