I received the GT2 as a birthday present from my wife. It arrived yesterday afternoon and I was dying to hit the range. I was so excited that I had one of those sleepless nights. I went first thing this morning and I am so happy with the GT2! My first hit with the driver was on the centre of the face! (A good sign) I then proceeded to hit 30 range balls with the driver because it's such a great feeling swinging the GT2. I couldn't really see my distances as the sun was rising on the range. But that didn't matter - I was chasing that feeling!

My previous driver was a 915D2, which to be honest, I loathed to hit off the tee. There was a time when I didn't want to practice my driver. Now there's an excitement when I pull the GT2 from the bag that I didn't have with the 915. The GT2 also gives me confidence and I look forward to working on my driver swing over the fall/winter.

I'm excited for you! Looking forward to seeing your experience on the TT boards. It's definitely a faster and longer club. Hitting it out of the middle is pure butter!

Fair warning though, when you get yours the headcover is a head turner and everyone who doesn't have a GT wants to hold it and hit it. You'll get some attention!

I will admit that I loved the sound of the new GT's ! Your wife is very kind to give you such a great birthday gift ! I guess you will have to think long and hard about how to repay her for her birthday :)

I think she got tired of seeing me watch all the GT review videos on YouTube. I'm very lucky and you're right - I need to repay her for such a wonderful gift. Too bad she's not into golf. :)
