  1. I just got the 910 D2, 10.5 degrees with a blue diamana kai'li stiff shaft.  I tend to swing a bit flat, from the inside, so my misses are blocks to the right or low hooks left, but overall my ball flight is fairly low.  When I do connect, my ideal drives have a slight draw or stay fairly straight, certainly no fade involved though.

In my first round with the new driver (and prior to that on the range), with an A1 setting, I was pull hooking most drives, meaning my club was probably closed at impact AND I was coming from the inside on a shallow angle.

Aside from continuing to work on the swing plane, any suggestions on a setting I should try?  My assumption is to maybe open the face a bit, but I also fear that block to the right (usually ending up the trees or the wrong fairway!)

    Thanks!

I'd tinker with the flat side of the chart and go from there!  C-1, B-1, C-4...assuming you are a righty.

  3. Thanks a lot Ryan!  I'll try that on the range.

This may sound crazy but I had a problem with a pull hook on the driver between 2006-2008 and the solution was to stand more erect (maintaining an athletic ready stance).   I also tended to pull fairways and hybrids. The tip helped and my longer clubs were going straight - the drawback was that I having difficulty hitting short irons and had to bend the lie angles 1* upright.  I had been compensating for a flat lie angle with a flat swing.

The upper body getting ahead of the lower is the root cause of both.  If you don't shift weight on the downswing properly and hang back it causes a snap hook.  The block is when the handle gets ahead of the clubface at impact or if your front foot is totally flat on the follow through (the weight should be on the forward part of the foot and the heel at finish).

Try A2, B2, C2 or D2 and a more upright stance (standing a little further from the ball; too close causes a push slice).   I know this sounds opposite.
