Very interested in ordering a set of 712 AP1s and am currently playing the KBS Tour 90 in a non-Titleist iron (players' iron between AP2 and AP1) and like the light weight and equate to a swing weight of D0. 710 AP1s are swing weight D1 and I am presuming 712's will be the same. If I am not ordering the stock shaft for 712 AP1s and want a similar type shaft to KBS Tour 90 (which are lighter), can swing weight be specified as D0 without impacting overall performance of iron?

We don't offer the KBS Tour 90's which weigh 95 in a reg and 102 in a stiff flex

We do offer both the NS pro 850 (weighs 87 gr in a reg and 91 gr in a stiff) and the NS pro 950 (weighs 94.5 gr in a reg and 98 gr in a stiff).  Both shafts will build as light as C9 +/-1 swingweight, but we will be able to swingweight them higher if desired.  We will be able to build them at a D0 without any impact to performance.

Which of the two Nippon shafts you reference will have a higher launch angle at impact or launch the ball higher?

In robot testing, we have seen the 950 go higher than the 850, but in player testing we have seen them both launch mid-high.
  5. Is there a reason you no longer offer the KBS Tour 90's for this year's AP2s? Will that change later in the year?I noticed you still offer the KBS Tour.

    Thanks.

Hi Ricky, We have not offered the KBS Tour 90 shaft in our matrix. Every shaft in our matrix has to go through stringent testing to make sure it is durable enough and will perform properly in our heads. It is often more difficult for lightweight shafts such as the Tour 90 to pass our testing. The standard KBS Tour weighs 110 in the Reg, 120 in the stiff and 130 in the X flex. We do offer other lightweight shafts that have passed, including the NS pro 850, 950, 970 and the DYG SL.
