    Hey guys!

I am starting to grow out of my clubs( TourEdge HP7 drive-SW and V 60º swoosh).  What type of clubs should I get?  I'm starting my growth spurt and really need some help!  I'm 13 and am very good(shot 77-82 on 18 holes).

    Thanks

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

It's Nate. I would suggest a mixed set of AP1's and AP2's. You could have have CB's and AP2's also if you like forged.

As for wedges, I would suggest SM4 vokey wedges with whatever degrees you feel comfortable with.

Ben, It sounds like you are well on way way to being a very accomplished player, congrats. It is nearly impossible for you to be told what clubs to buy in a forum such as this. You will get a lot of messages from people that will give you great reports as to what works best for them. In order to get the clubs that will be the best for your game, you need to go find yourself a Certified Titleist Fitter and get properly fit for the best equipment for how you play the game. It is woth the time and your game will certainly benifit from it. Best of Luck!

    Ben,

It would be best if you could get fit especially since you are growing.

    Good luck with your golf.

    Ben,

There is much you should know about growth spurts and how they affect your play right now and some really great opportunities coming your way when you quit growing.  I have included a link to one of my web pages that will explain a little bit of if.  You didn't say where you live but hopefully there will be a Titleist Performance Institute certified Junior coach in your area.  Click on MYTPI and look for the "Find an Expert" tab.  follow that to find the TPI guys in your area.  Look for a a Jr TPI certified professional and call him.  This is a critical time in your development and you need some of the advice we have.

If you can't find anybody you're welcome to contact me personally either at my email  -- ballgolf@mac.com or you can call me at 405-229-0308.  I am level III certified in junior TPI and use it everyday with my junior players and have been using it for three years.
