  1. Hello,

I am very interested in the new 910D3.  Unfortunately I have no fitters, launch monitors, or otherwise near me to help with the process of selecting a new driver.  I currently have a 983K 9.5 Stiff Grafalloy Prolite.  I love it.  I am normally 270-290 off the tee with a nice draw.  I just purchased (and returned) the R11S (hated it).  I never felt the ball on the face of the club.  Thought I had a steel pipe at the end of the shaft.  It was terrible.  Luckily the place where I bought it (PX) has a great return policy.

      My questions are:

    1.  What is the swingweight of my current driver?

    2.  Which shaft that Titleist offers comes closest to the Grafalloy Prolite?

    3.  What is the swingweight of the 910D3?

    4.  Has anyone else made the jump from a 983K to the 910D3 or 910D2.  If so what are your thoughts?

    Thanks,

      Steven

    Hi Steven:

I assume your trusty 983k is a D3 +/- 1 swingweight.  The old Graffalloy ProLite shaft sure was a good shaft with a loyal following They are very hard to find these days.

I have fit many players making the leap from the Pro Lite and they tend to prefer the Titleist Ahina 72 gram shaft.   It's slightly heavier than the Prolite but seems to load and flex in a similar fashion.

The new 910D3 has a customizable swingweight and should match your 983K when it arrives.  It is possible to tune it to your preference with the 910 weight screw kit available to purchase separately.
