Project X shafts

    I am currently looking at getting the AP2 irons with Project X shafts. What is the difference between a 6.0 and 6.5? My current ball flight is high and would like a mid to low trajectory. My current 6 iron swing speed is 94 and current distance is 186-190 yrds.

    Hi Steven,

    The PX 6.5 is about 5 grams heavier than the 6.0.  As well, the 6.5 plays a bit stiffer.  Both are designed to produce a mid to low ball flight.

    thanks for the input. I am planning on going to hit them tomorrow and compare the numbers between both shafts.

    Hi there is this correct : 5.5 = like regular shaft ? 6.0 = bitt stiffer 6.5 = stiffer YES ?? please advise

    Project X 5.5 plays closer to a typical S flex shaft.  From there 6.0 and 6.5 get progressively stiffer.

    just wondering why you would want to hit irons low to mid? high is ideal for soft landings on greens? if i hit it high i wouldnt change a thing

    I currently play the cally diablo forged irons with the project x 5.5 shafts. I am about 3300 rpm's on back spin and feel that sometimes my ball ballons. I would think a low to mid will reduce the back spin and stop the ball from balloning. On a windy day I sometimes find my self hitting 2 clubs up.
