I've been playing my 714 MB's for about a month now and aside from the growing pains that come with new clubs (specifically figuring out how far each club goes), I've been loving every minute of them. When cleaning my clubs post round today, however, I noticed that I'm striking the ball a little inside of where I was with my last set of irons (710 MB). It's not much, maybe a quarter inch closer to the hosel than the center of the clubface, but still not the same spot I was making contact with my last set of irons. Could this be the product of my length or lie being off?
If it makes any difference, my specs on the 714 is standard length, 2* flat lie and 1* strong loft. The specs on the 710's I just came out of was standard length, 2* flat lie and standard loft. the 714 is consistently about 10 yards longer than the 710, but I'm just curious what may cause the slightly inside impact pattern.
