I wonder if it is possible to get fitted with both the AP1 and AP2?
PW-8 iron AP2 and 7-4 iron AP1.

yes that would basicly be like a pro combo just go to your local titleist fitter and tell them what you want to do

What is the advantage of going witht that combination of ap1 and ap2's? I just got a set of ap1's 3 weeks ago and love them, but have not heard of people playing with a combination of both?

The advantage is people play the AP1's 3-5 for more forgiveness and the Ap2's 6-Pw for more feel and workability. Some tour pros play this set up along with a lot of Amateurs.

I would recommend getting fit on a TrackMan for this type of combination. This will allow you to recognize any distance gaps that may need to be addressed as the different styles begin to blend. Look into Titleist's list of club fitters to find the one closest to you.
