  1. Hi All,

Recently had a fitting and bought a TSi3 driver with upgraded shaft.

Shaft is Fujikura Atmos Tour Spec 6s. I have noticed straight away the extra distance and control of the ball flight with the driver.

I want to upgrade my 3 wood shaft, can i simply use the same shaft or do i up the weight of the shaft or should I look at the Blue version of Atmos. mid flight.

    Advice is appreciated.

Typically, people have a heavier shaft in their fairways than in their driver. If you are unsure about going up in weight or the shaft version you should use, then you should work with the fitter you used for your driver fitting. Since you like your driver fitting results, then using the same fitter should give you good results with upgrading the shaft in your 3 wood.

No straight answer. As a general rule they say to up the weight class for a 3 wood but that is not always the case. I've seen several who keep the same weight class for their 3 wood, and several who ended up with a different shaft or flex altogether. I know it's difficult to find, but you're best option is to find someone who has a selection that you can try, or to get fit for. Good luck.

In most cases the weight of the driver shaft is lighter than a 3 wood shaft. I have an old 910-D3 driver and 3 wood with a Project X7C3 in the driver and a 8C4 in the 3 wood. The 3 wood shaft is 10 grams heavier.
