Seems like the M is where the most tech is. Via BOB

    Please advise M or D

The grinds are very similar, just significantly more bounce on the D grind. Get the M grind if you play firm to neutral conditions. D if you play in soft conditions. I got both and had a really hard time getting the D grind under the ball, even here in South Florida. Off of hard pan, it's nearly impossible.

I have a 58.12D and changed to a 56.10S due to the firmer conditions where I play in S Carolina. Just too much bounce. Also other wedge is a 52.08K love both of them. Work well for me and the conditions here. Very similar to you guys, Brock.

I play both the D and M in my lob wedges, depending on conditions. Wet or soft conditions (or even average) I like the extra bounce of my SM8 58.12D. In very firm conditions I'll swap out the 58D for my SM8 60.08M. The grinds on both are very similar. The D grind is actually based on the M grind, only with 4 more degrees of bounce. Depending on the firmness and conditions of the main courses you play, pick the grind/bounce which would work better most of the time. Or, like me, buy both and be prepared to make a game-time decision. No matter which one is in the bag, I keep the other in the trunk for a quick change if necessary. For me, the 12D is the one I use most. As Bob Vokey says, "Bounce is your friend." I might add to that,"...., more often than not."
