  1. I live in Japan and purchased AP2 710 3-9P and Scotty Cameron Newport2 from US Golf Factory Store (www.golffactorystore.com/).

    Are they an authorized seller?

#6 iron has a serial number on its hosel (#1715568).

but my SC putter does not have a serial number and its head texture is much different from my old SC I purchased at Golf Smith in the U.S.

Please advise what I should do to confirm my irons and putter are genuine.

    Thanks,

The serial number 1715568 is on our list of known compromised serial numbers which means that many "fake" copies of this number were made.  I will forward your email onto our Acushnet Company office in Japan.

I think the prices on this site alone should sound that alarm.  look at the price. $399 for 3-pw. that is obvious its fake. you can basically know that if the golfsmith or tgw almost always have the same prices on all new titleist stuff. this is because titleist controls the prices of their stuff. so if it dosnt match one of those two places there is a good chance its fake.  Look we all know $1000 can be expensive for alot of people but tjat dosent mean buying $1000 irons for 400$ is an excuse for saying I didn't  know. $400 for used clubs and finding out they are fake ok I can understand that but come on. new 400 and really thinking you found a hidden deal. thats all im going to say about that

Just a follow up to John's comment regards the price of fake titleist golf clubs. I didn't state the price i paid ( my mistake by the way ) for the clubs. I bid on the clubs cause the seller discribed the titleist AP2 irons as brand fire new? and i paid nearly £400.00 pound sterling thats around $624.95. so i dought john wheather you could off told the differance they were that good. If it hadn't been for my kwowledge in buying golf equipment and what to look for, he might have got away with it. ( N35 81T )

sorry I didn't get your fallow up until now. I wrote my response becouse I've been surfing the blogs for a while and this topic comes up about five or six times a year with the same story. I went to the website listed in the first posting. that was the price they listed. and thats the price they list for almost every major brand. this wasn't a site whole sales of over stock five year old clubs these were prices they advertise for even the 712 line. your right I dont know what u paid but a site that offers those prices and dosent have an address posted online is probably selling fakes. and if this was an ebay buy then thats further reason not to buy from ebay. look my post was more aimed  at people looking to buy new titleist equipment but dont want to pay the standard price. ive seen the titleist guys post their only buy from authorized dealers alot. some might say more than enuff times. sorry for your bad luck but maybe its a hard lesson learned.

nothing personal brother. just blogging it out. you have a marry cristmas and a happy new year.

    cheers greens and fairways
