    Hi Titleist,

I am 13 and I currently play ap1 710's. I play to a respectable 7 handicap at my club and I am currently the best junior on my interclub team. I am looking for something with a LOT MORE workability. How much would it cost to custom order a set of 4-9 mb's and cb's combo set. 4-6 in cb's and 7-9 in mb's.

    Thanks so much!

Ever considered adding certain AP2s in place of some of your current AP1s?  For instance, 4-5 AP1s and 6-9 AP2s.  This approach may help control the cost of replacing all your irons, plus the AP2s are workable yet provide a small degree of forgiveness, unlike the MBs.

    Hey Nate,

I did the same thing and have a combo bag, but i play AP2 4-6 and MB 7-PW.

I will tell you, youre looking around 130-140 per iron. And then of course plus tax and shipping costs. There is no set price on combo sets because you need to special order them.

    Good Luck!

Ya that is a good idea but the ap2's are more expensive than the cb's but thanks for your input. I will look into getting something with the ap2's.

    No Problem Nate,

Hope it helps. I think the AP2 in the long irons were worth the extra 10 bucks per iron. They gave a little more forgiveness but didnt lose all the workability with the long irons.

Dont get me wrong the CBs are great irons as well, and that was my initial intension but after hitting them and looking on the launch monitor it just made more sense to go with the AP2's.

  6. Hi , If i were you i would rather look at pw-7 in mb and then 6-4 iron in ap2 and maybe a hybrid in place of a 3iron.

    Hope you find this helpful

a take on this for you, when i was your age, back in the 80's, i played nothing but blade iron's, because that was all i could get being left handed. and guess what ? that's the only iron type i will play now, they're not as hard to play with as everyone think's they are, i promise, as young as you are starting now, a week or two playing with them you will sleep with them ,they are that fun to play with!  the problem with making a combo set of cb @ mb iron design is the sole width on the cb's is a tad thicker than the mb's , which will create a consistency problem for you as the head weight's are not the same, so ignore the noise and get yourself fitted for the 712 mb's and go practice until you need to tape your finger's. just trying to help from year's of experience, hope this help's you out young man!

  8. Hi was thinking of a similar set myself just a bit more extreme P&9 in CB 8&7 in MB and 6&5 in AP2s I don't play particularly long courses mostly ranging from 6100 to 6400 yards and I'm on the long side so a strong 4 hybrid and I carry 4 wedges from 50 to 62 degrees scoring is mainly done from 150 yards and in and I hit my 9 about 140-145 just my opinion
