Hey Cathi or Cameron, I have been lucky enough to obtain two 19 degree Titleist 503 i driving irons. I hear that these are very rare and are a tour issue club that was made around 205 or 2006 and only for tour players. Do you have any information as to approximately how many of these heads Titleist made? Also, was this club offered in a 22 degree and if so, how many of those heads were made? I would love to get a 22 degree if one was made and I can find one. This club is an absolute rocket. I hit it 270 off the tee and straight and about 255 off of the ground, all carry. Thanks! Jason

Hi Jason, These were made for our pros in one of our first forays into hybrid irons.  We wanted to make a club that went lower and spun less than a similarly lofted fairway and launched higher and spun more than the equivalent iron.  They did not ever make it to production as they were not as easy to hit as we would have liked.  We did make them in lofts of 19° and 22°.  The production model that came out in 2005 was the 503H and it was made in 19° and 22° lofts.

Thanks Cathi for the information. Any idea approximately how many heads Titleist made of the 503 i in both the 19 degree and the 22 degree?
  4. Jason,

Since you have a surplus, any desire to part with one of them?  Let me know, I'm an interested buyer.

    Hi Michael,

Unfortunately, this club is so good that I have bent one to a 3 iron loft and bent the other to a 2 iron loft (18 degrees) and am playing both.  I have one shafted to a 2 iron length +1 inch and the other shafted to a 3 iron length +1 inch with TI X100 shafts.

If I am able to come across any more or see any more on the various sources, I will keep you informed.  If you can get your hand on one of these, they are worth it.

    Hi Jason,

If you wouldn't mind please add me to your list if you find more of these irons. i have found a 503 H witch is closer to a driving iron than a hybrid but im looking for the 503i all forged version.

If i buy a hi-fli driving iron i'll be ok but i would like to remain a titleist only bag.

    cheers greens and fairways

    Hi John,

Will do.  I have you and Michael on my favorites list and if I see any of the 503 i's pop up, I will send you a T-Mail.

    Thanks!
