Scotty Cameron Newport Center Line

    I recently purchased a used 1995-97 Scotty Cameron Newport. It is very similar to the old png Pal putter I have used all my life. I like it and the weight is great but there is no center line on this putter. Not on top of the face or on the skirt behind it.  Anyone ever heard of someone milling a small line and putting a little white paint in there?  Would I measure to the exact center of the putter face or is there more science to it? I see that some of the newer models of Scotty's have cetner lines and was thinking I could get measurements off of one of those.

    Send it to scotty Cameron custom shop. I have the same putter in the garage as a back up. Tei3 insert with out the white elastomer on the face. Hope that helps

    The line is based off the center of the putter face where you would get the most forgiving contact and most consistency.  I have no personal experience with milling the line on the putter myself, but I do want to let you know that this is an option at Scotty Cameron's Custom Shop.  You can send your putter in to the Custom Shop and they will put that sight line or dot where you need it.  Click on the link below to learn more about it.
