  1. I recently purchased a set of thev712MB irons and i am surprised and disappointed that Titleist does not offer the 2iron availability.Ii have always used a 2 and frequently a 1 iron. The 2 wold make my day but hadbto settle for the 712 CB 2 iron. I can not believe that the 2 is mot requested by at least tour players. I would appreciate a comment from staff or reps.

Titleist hasn't offered a 2-Iron for their MB line since the 695 MB back in 2007.

I too was a bit surprised, but I think it is becoming rare that tour players play 2-Irons.  Most players seem to be playing with two woods, or alternate and use a wood and a hybrid these days.

I myself would switch between my 5 wood and my 2-Iron. I am currently looking into getting a 2-Iron, but not sure if I want to go with the cavity back CB or just go with the VR Pro (that would be the only non-Titleist club in the bag then)

  3. Generally very few tour players use a 2 iron, doing some research the ones thy do use the following: Mcilroy: 503i 19* (he only uses on occasions) Woodland: 503i Stanley: 503i Haas: CB The 503i is a large MB like driving iron which is tour only, I don't know of any tour pro that uses a true MB 2 iron (maybe Quiros?) but would happily stand corrected. I use the CB 2 iron which I find goes well with my strong MB 4 iron.

Hi Dale,  The Tour players have not requested an MB 2 iron as they use either the CB or a hybrid.
