  1. Hello, new poster here -  after trying the new AP2's i love the look of the new head (shape-size) my question is 2 part I am a 5 hdcp looking to improve..5"8 175 lbs.  AVG 5 iron 185 yds Driver 270 yds - currently playing early 2000's hogan apex edge half blade irons forged - similar to the cb with original rifle 6.0 shafts.  I love the way they feel and I love the rifle shaft.  I have hit the project x shaft and the dynamic gold shaft in 5.5 and 6.0 and s300 in the DG in the AP2 and they both seem to feel like to much shaft for me.  I don't like the way they feel - too butt stiff it feels like - it feels like I cant get the head to square and turn over a draw as easily as I would like.  The club feels heavy? When i check the specs though the rifle is supposedly heavier? Is that the newer rifle or have the weights ever changed from 2000? Is there a lighter weight shaft that you can recommend that plays and feels like the rifle. Lastly is it possible to custom order the AP2's with the 712 cb-mb satin finish I like that look way better.  Thank-you.

Hi Jeremy: Unfortunately you cannot custom order a finish on the AP2s. I would suggest a round of testing and fitting with the KBS Tour shaft. The swingweight will be lighter than the DG and Project X and you may prefer the feel. RC

Welcome Jeremy.  As you will later on find out, a lot of people post here and reply to discussions posted. We all share a common passion here... "playing golf with Titleist equipments".

Unless you are a touring pro, you cannot custom order the finish on the irons. However, why not try the 710's? There is only minimal changes between the 710 and 712. As everyone will advice, seek your nearest Titleist Fitter. They will get you squared up, my only advice is if you can go to the Regional Fitter.  They would have more shaft options.

    Good Luck.
