    Exec Summary:

Thanks to Titleist for letting me buy the 913 D3 with a Diamana Whiteboard (D+) shaft. The flippin' thing is monster long and very workable while being forgiving enough for me to keep the ball in play.

    Swing Details:

    SS - 105

    Launch Angle - 14.9

Spin > 2600 (Guess based on ball fight)

    Index-8.9 (for now...gulp!).

I started using my 913 D3 9.5 driver last week while playing in Myrtle Beach. I brought two shafts to "test" with.

    - Diamana D+ 72 - Keeper

    - RIP Alpha 62 - Runner up

The Diamana D+ 72 came with the club. I picked this shaft based on my experience with the Diamana Blue (1st gen) which performed wonderfully in my old R11. I picked the white because the blue gave me too much spin (3200 rpm).

The D+ 72 feels more stout than the Blue but I seem to be able to energize the shaft during my normal driver swing. It seems fairly hook resistant though I can work the ball both ways with this shaft though I find it harder to hit a push draw with this shaft. I can also hit it high or low as required which is very nice when needed. Not sure of the spin as I didn't this shaft in the trackman but the ball just Soars when hit fairly well. I hit some bombs with this club which surprised me. I was looking for control and got a at 300 yard ball (carry and roll thanks) when need conditions permitting.

The RIP Alpha also performed well but felt whippy when compared to the D+. I was able to hook this shaft but after a few holes I made an adjustment that gave me a better flight and traj. The 913 D3 with this shaft was 10 yards longer than the with the D+ but for me was harder to control. I hit several driver over 300 on the back 9 of the Parkland Course at the Legends resort but constantly had to account for a Right to Left ball flight and, most importantly, could not it the mega power fade that was available with the D+. BTW, Spin was 2664 RPM according to trackman.

I love how the 913 D3 feels and sounds and it's so perty. Surprisingly it is more forgiving that I thought based on the comments I've read and I was VERY pleased that the club is so long for me. The Prov1 seemed to perform best for me of woods and irons. The the 1x was about 5 yards longer off the driver I preferred the feel of the V1 ball off the tee and on short shots.

Funny thing, the whiteboard felt a little stiff during winter testing and tuning which is why I picked up the RIP. But once I hit the D+ on the first tee in Myrtle I was very happy with the feel, flight and distance.

    Cheers for Now,

    Lar'E
