At the end of the season I put a mid-sized grip on my Laguna 2 Studio Select putter. I wish I had made the move earlier. I made the move to this Scotty from my Select Newport 1.5 at the beginning of the year because the Laguna 2 came from the custom shop and has my initials on it. I made more long putts this year than ever before, the new grip makes this club even better. If anyone is not satisfied with the performance of their putter, I would recommend trying this solution. Playing with buddies at the end of the season, they were a little surprised when I have raised the bar for my expectations: anything under 20 feet that is not a severe incline should go it. My scores usually slip into the low 80's in October and November. That didn't happen this year, and after analysing my last few games, it can be attributed directly to the number of putts I made between 5 and 10 feet. I simply did not miss any. Number of greens hit went down, but percentage of par putts made went up.

I too have been using the Scotty midsize putter grips and they are amazing.  Before I went to a SC putter I was using Winn misize putter grips on all my putters,  which are one and the same, and they are the softest and best feeling grips on the market.  Currently I switched to his new Midsized Matador.  It it by far the best of all the midsized grips I have used over the years.  I play Titleist clubs and all my clubs Driver to wedges all have midsized Golfpride multicompound grips.  They do make a difference.

I put on a mid size grip in October of 2014 and I the same wish I had did this earlier. Putted at the end of the season much better than earlier in the season. Looking forward to March 2015 when I go to Florida and get ready for the Midwest season when I return. Best move I made so far......to be continued!

Thanks Brad, I have a Midsized Matador ready to place on to my Newport 2.5. The feel along with the size caught my attention and I wanted to try it. Your comments makes me want to change it today and start putting in the living room. I will let y'all know how mine goes. Again, thanks, Steve

Steve the new Matador is an outstanding putter grip.  A buddy of mine tried it and he immediately went to the shop where I got mine and bought one.  These are hard to get because the shops can only get two per month.  They make it easier to line up the putter with less grip pressure.  The midsize has really cut down on my putts.  Good luck and I am sure you will feel the same.  Chuck
