Harry does your homeowners not cover this?  I know that loosing those babies are like loosing a friend, member but there could be a little light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, I've hear that homeowners does cover it, but after the deductible. Better than nothing.

When you get new clubs, look into getting a Personal Articles policy. I have one through State Farm that covers some jewelry and I added my clubs to it. $4500 worth of clubs and accessories, it costs me about $50 a year, no deductible, they cover damage, theft to any and all clubs, bag, rangefinder, etc... If I ship my clubs to a vacation destination, they are covered. They are covered anywhere and under any situation that I know of.

Do that for your new set. Everyone should do this, or at least anyone who would be scared to lose their entire bag and be left with nothing.

I have one of those.  Worth the minimal extra expense.

Well ck with insurance yes they'll give me a very small  amount as they don't total value golf clubs and they don't think any increase in rates as we've been with Allstate for 40 yrs.no claims in last 15 yrs. and that was a minor accident my daughter had.so I'm not claiming with them and home owners same can't claim on both.so old beat set out there so where?!?!

Really sorry to hear that. Insurance wouldn't help unless you had full replacement coverage. Current used price minus a $500-1000 deductible wouldn't pay much anyway. You are retired, so you can check the large internet used club sites to find matches to your dearly departed over time. The irons may be hard to find and certainly in that match to your custom set. It's sad that someone will risk stealing a 2 grand set that would then retail used for $750 and consider it profitable to sell for $200. You can also check with pawn shops in the SD area.

I am really sorry to hear about your clubs being stolen -- the sense of "violation", of someone stealing something that was yours and as dear to your heart as your "new" clubs is very unsettling. I wish you well in trying to recover or replace them. I'm a bit fortunate in that where I play, there are lots of security cameras that are actively recording the club storage areas, the practice tees, etc. On another note, where I live, there are lots of Asians (both newly resident and non-resident), and many of them are particularly fond of a Japanese club maker that uses gold foil and art designs on the back of one of their lines of irons (in the cavity area). These "artist" series irons are not really a high performing club so much as a status symbol (they retail here for approximately $8000) and given the use of actual gold, they have become the target of many thefts. Here's hoping things work out as much as possible Harry!

Thank you I know courses can't be reasonable with stolen clubs or people would scam them at every way

Sorry to hear Harry. I live in Southeast Louisiana and though it hasn't happened to me, I know a couple of people who have gotten their clubs stolen straight off of the cart. It seems like this is happening a lot lately.

The club they where stolen from should have public liability insurance for loss, damage and accident  and as they took money from you should have taken reasonable care of their clients equipment was in a safe environment on private property. ,speak with your insurance company as they may claim against the golf course on your behalf . At least it may make up the difference to allow you to replace your clubs.  Don,ask Don,t get you can not be expected to carry your clubs into the shop where they sell there goods therefore they should supply a secure area for you clubs .
