  1. I ordered a new set of AP1 716s a few weeks ago. They arrived yesterday 10/21/15 and look great, however they have the regular Golf Pride tour velvet grips on them instead of the made for Titleist script grips? Kinda disappointed as I may have chosen another grip had I known this. Just thought folks ordering should be aware so they are not surprised like I was.
  2. If you got shafts that aren't stock that might be why. I know px shafts don't come with titleist grips. It's probably the shaft.

Do they have titleist molded in the cap ? If they are golf pride tour velvet 360's, mine don't either.
  4. Nope. These grips are the regular Golf Pride tour velvets that you can buy at most any sporting goods store right off the shelf. I just always liked the Titleist scripts as they were OEM and unique to Titleist clubs. I believe they also helped the resale value of my past club sets by having them original. Even when I replaced the grips, I'd order the script grip to maintain the originality of the clubs...

I sent an inquiry to Titleist to see what they say..

Hi Shawn,  For our standard 716 iron grip, we made the decision to go with a commercially available option  - the Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip, which is readily available for regripping purposes.  However, you can still order the Titleist scripted iron grips on any custom order.  You will just have to make sure you select that grip.

Nice to know. Might be getting some 716's soon and really want the Titleist script.
